Whom will you call a visionary? According to Rohan Vasa, Sales Director, South Asia, at Wyntronix Innovations Pvt Ltdhimself recognized as one of the super 30 visionary leaders―visionary doesn’t limit to seeing or anticipating the future. “According to me, one who makes the team ready to face it, and that is the way my team, Wyntronix, and I would like to respond.” Also, he furthers, “This recognition means that the work which we have been doing is right in a highly competitive business environment where recognition means ultimate satisfaction. We are doing business with ethical practices and a customer-first approach, which has led to this success over the years since our inception over a decade ago in 2014. It motivates us to craft new milestones in the future and stimulates us to achieve them.”

The Core Success Principles

Rohan also believes that the hospitality industry is in rapid expansion in South Asia to address today’s travelers’ needs. Which means technology backed by exceptional services is a need of the hour. Rohan and his team are bringing technology advancement in each of the product lines, backed by investing in after-sales support on the ground to ensure their brand image is intact. “Decision-making process in industry is changing, and our marketing approach is making sure we are meeting our sales goal with profitability,” he states, revealing Wyntronix’s core guiding principles.

Rohan also feels that the most challenging part is staying ahead of the Competition in the next five years to drive more profitable business revenues. “We will be agile to bring advancement in our offering, addressing a persistent skills gap and evolving workforce needs. Strengthening our core competency over a course of time, we will expand to new territories with new business verticals.”

A Mentor-infused Momentum

Sharing a pivotal career moment that fundamentally shaped his leadership style, Rohan says that in life, you always look up to your mentor and improve on yourself with the weaknesses you carry. Mr Adrian Goldwyn (MD) Wyntronix India―his mentor had always shown immense trust in his work style, which was always keeping the company at the centre while making business decisions. Rohan was initially not people-oriented, and over the course of work, he realized that alone he would be able to cover little and that “Only together we will be able to achieve success. When your mentor gives you this moment of trust in you to take over leadership of the team, it comes with great responsibility.” Since then, Rohan has kept building a great team. Today, he calls them his extended family.

Resilience and an Open Mindset―Keys to Success

In a rapidly evolving market, cultivating and maintaining a culture of innovation and adaptability within one’s sales team is necessary. Rohan, too, agrees that the need of the hour is to show resilience and an openness to adapt to the change. “Earlier, our sales strategy was product-centric, while today we are solution-centric when it comes to new projects. Our sales team is the voice in the company for our customers, and we are developing new products or solutions every year to address the gap in place.” The sales team gets regular training internally and externally. “We are proud to say that we nominated our sales team and sponsored their distance learning program last year at IIM Indore as well. Such efforts help us to drive a new approach to business and drive innovation.”

Have Faith in Yourself

Rohan’s mentorship parameters for his team are to have faith in themselves. He sees his team members with immense skills, which need fine-tuning at times to shine. “And that is my job to help them when they see push back.” One piece of advice he would like to offer is: if you want to be a leader, you need to lead from the front. You need to deliver the difficult task first to ensure your team believes in what you are saying. Always set realistic, workable goals and divide them into short-term ones. As a leader, you need to keep pace with new technologies and embrace change continuously.

Tech-Importance

Also, in today’s tech-driven times, the role of data and artificial intelligence has become crucial. Rohan, too, accepts that today, data is everything if you know how to read it. “Hence, we are implementing our sales and tech CRM software. This gives us so much visibility of market potential, competition knowledge, and most importantly, customer behaviour patterns.”

Wyntronix’s software development team gives it access to make a customized dashboard with statistics, auto reminder, and auto communication to the end user to reduce human efforts. “AI tool is helping us to do many tasks, auto-driven, and helping us to improve the productivity of the sales team,” shares Rohan.

Removing Misconception

Also, sharing the biggest misconception people have about sales in the technology sector, Rohan says that most of the time when he takes an interview with a new candidate, they apply for and expect to learn on the job. The sales team needs to be a master of the product, technically and commercially, if they want to be successful in today’s dynamic market. You need to be technically sound to connect with the solutions the end user is looking for. There are no ready-to-use solutions when you are in the tech-driven sales sector. His advice is for both employees and employers to keep long-term synergy in the workplace.

His Philosophy and Legacy

Rohan’s personal philosophy in sales is always to stay hungry for business and ready to take on new tasks. The first half of it is infusing energy into the team, which equally stays motivated to perform better. The second half charts the way to make Wyntronix’s vision a reality, which is “To become the benchmark company providing world-class products and services for the hospitality and allied industry.”

Rohan would like to build a legacy where the leader drives the future-focused decision-making process at the workplace, understands risk management, is quick to respond to the changes as and when they happen, makes value-based decisions, and, most importantly, ensures ‘clear communication,’ which makes the entire team inclusive. These are important traits he is building along the way. It is surely a tough strategy and has many versions to draft.

In the Rapid Expansion Mode

Finally, looking ahead, Rohan reveals that they began their Middle East Journey in 2025, after their success in the ‘ASEAN Region,’ which took place in 2019. He is very excited to make this opportunity as successful as possible. “We, at Wyntronix Innovations, have already taken up projects in Tanzania, Oman, Bahrain, and the UAE in a while, which gives us great confidence to accelerate,” he concludes.
