On Thursday, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) disclosed that its fully owned subsidiary, L&T GeoStructure, has been awarded several contracts throughout India. The company revealed that it received a significant contract from the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) for the construction work at Paradip Port in Odisha. This project involves extending the current south breakwater by 500 meters, building 10 groynes along the north side of the North Breakwater totaling 1650 meters in length, and undertaking breakwater toe protection efforts using steel or sheet piles to increase the depth of the approach channel.
Larsen & Toubro GeoStructure has secured a project from HSL for enhancements to Slipway-4 in Visakhapatnam, ( AP )Andhra Pradesh. The primary tasks for this project include the renovation of the slipway, the construction of a crane track, and the provision of associated facilities such as gas utilities, a firefighting system, and the installation of a 300 MT Goliath crane.
The company categorizes the value of its projects into four levels: significant orders are valued between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, large orders range from Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore, major orders span Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 7,000 crore, and mega orders exceed Rs 7,000 crore in value.
